The Podium plan to become one of Aberdeen’s premier live music venue and as one of the most renowned venues on the live music scene.

We programme a range of events that span various genres and connect multiple communities with live entertainment and work alongside multiple local organisations to develop projects and provide skills development opportunities for those wishing to work within the industry.

We plan to run over 50 Live gigs, 50 club nights, 20 comedy events and 50 other exciting events such as quizzes and talks every year.

Located next to Aberdeen Railway Station and just off Union Street, we have two spaces at The Podium; our main room with a standing capacity of 450, and our second, the ‘Taproom,’ a standing capacity of 200. 

The OGV Podium is a venue with a history for running a wide range of cultural events, from live music, comedy and club nights to theatre performances, talks and poetry. The Podium has been one of Aberdeen’s key music venues over the years. It first opened its doors in the 1980’s and has been a creative hub in Aberdeen for nearly 40 years.Over the years the likes of Gerry Cinnamon, Shed Seven, Reef, Cast, Bloc Party, BiffyClyro, Franz Ferdinand, Idlewild, The Wombats, The La’s are just a few of the acts to have graced the stage!
